Mama Glow and June Ambrose Fashion Week Event

Mama Glow hosted a New York Fashion Week kickoff event with June Ambrose to premiere her collaborative eyewear collection with Selima Optique.

The event took place at our Bond Street location, with our guest of honor, June Ambrose, gracing us with an uplifting speech about her inspirations and beginnings in the fashion world. 

Founder of Mama Glow, Latham Thomas led a conversation on the importance of maintaining a well balanced life between work, fun, and motherhood. 

The night concluded with a wonderful soiree of fashionable supporters.

Few in the world of fashion are as passionate and well revered for what they do as June Ambrose. The celebrity stylist is known for her spots on HSN, Project Runway, The X Factor, The View, The Today Show, and as guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show. She has crafted looks for fashionable icons like Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, Diddy, Jay Z, & Will Smith. Most notably, she gained her own VH1 television show, “Styled By June” in 2012.

Since being involved in fashion styling in the early 90s, June Ambrose has become an icon in her own right, setting trends globally. Her enthusiastic and candid approach toward style has developed a massive following of admirers, always coming back for more.

As collaborators with June of yesteryear, Selima Optique is no different. We had to come back for more.

Edna

Retro style is fused with futurism in the Edna, an oblong frame shape with square lenses, referencing a bold style from the mid-90s Selima Optique Collection. The Enda is available in a subtle blue crystal, graphic blonde horn, and solid black.

Dora

Round shaped frames have maintained a chic fashion statement, and June Ambrose sets the standard. A reissued style from the mid-90s Selima Optique Collection, the new Dora is available in Tokyo tortoise, taupe crystal, and black.

Missy

The Missy will have you standing out and turning heads from SoHo to the South of France with its ‘super-cat eye’ shape, another reissued style from the 90s, re-envisioned by Selima & June. Missy comes in Tokyo tortoise, black, and blue floral.

Monte Carlo

The Monte Carlo, a redesign of our Dre frame, comes in an assortment of two-tone colors, black/matte silver, green/lime, orange/black, and blue/red, matching your every look with this classic aviator style.

Daphne

The Daphne is a bold double-bridged design adorned with innovative, contrasting temple colors. Daphne is available in black/coral, emerald/tortoise, and crystal grey/black.
