On the Road: Selima in Korea & Japan Part 1

Selima is in Asia as our stockists and friends at Tokyo's Globe Specs are hosting a Selima Optique trunkshow this weekend and sent us these snapshots from her travels on the road...

While in Japan, Selima's hotel swimming pool has offered her a new meditative morning ritual.

Here, a reunion at Bear Pond, a favorite espresso bar.

First stop in Tokyo as always; Bear Pond Espresso for the best coffee! Katsu (above) says 'no pictures allowed' except for Selima as they are working on the Barista Project -details to come!

As a complete yet fun surprise, Selima ran into some four-legged friends in Tokyo! Unfortunately they were not interested in the sunglasses she offered them and is now thinking of developing a line just for goats - an untapped market indeed!

Travel Diaries: Selima's Fall 2011 Visit to Tokyo

Less than a week after coming back from Paris our ever busy directrice Selima Salaun headed to Japan to host two trunk shows this upcoming weekend and sent us a slew of fun pictures she snapped to share with you!

Jet-Lag? The energy of Tokyo zapped that out of Selima as she reunites with friends and colleagues as seen above. We hear she's been having a blast!

Globe Specs, one of our Tokyo stockists and a mega eyewear outlet to boot, resembles a fun greenhouse with it's plant filled interior and friendly staff. Here, one of their opticians strikes a pose for Selima's camera. More pics to come!

Stormking Art Center in New York's Hudson Valley

Lucky Lulu, Selima's assistant, got to spend her birthday weekend visiting New York's breathtaking Hudson Valley and came back with these sweet pics featuring Stormking Art Center's outdoor installations. Her trip mate Cameron is wearing our Mike frames and Lulu is wearing a pair of sleek RVS frames from our Soho outpost.

Travel Diaries: Selima Heads Far East..Bear Pond, Tokyo, Japan

On a recent trip to Japan, Selima and her friend Kiyuki stopped by Bear Pond: a charming and sunny Espresso bar in the Kitazawa district of Tokyo. Bear Pond is owned and operated by Chisa, a dear friend of Selima's, and an important member of the Selima Optique team. The three spent their day sipping espresso and sharing stories, a great way to relax the day away!

The space is cute and casual, clean and white with rustic detailing and serves up an amazing assortment of specialty espresso beverages and should not be missed on your next trip to Tokyo.
