Greetings from Kuwait: Meet Mo in his Johns

Mr. Muhammad Aman was so delighted by his freshly delivered John frames from yours truly that him and his friend set about to create this wonderful assortment of snapshots highlighting the frames -which they so graciously shared with us.

Shot at Kuwait's Avenues Mall by Mr. Aman's friend, Muhammad Taqi Ashkanani, they make for dashing photos to say the least.

Mr. Aman works in telecommunications in Kuwait and enjoys photography & art and by the looks of it, has quite the sartorial eye too.

Happy 84th birthday to the late, forever inspiring Andy Warhol who also happens to be a main inspiration behind our Andy frames -pictured, a previous window from our Soho shop paid homage to the artist this past spring.

Lost at Sea: A Customer finds his Glasses in the Sea Three Years Later

 

The crew at Selima Optique Soho had a customer share a remarkable story with them about a pair of frames he bought from them three years ago that he subsequently lost in the Baltic Sea shortly after. On a recent trip back scuba diving in the Baltic, one of his friends actually happened to find that same pair waiting for him several years later!
