Yesterday, February 16th, Hubert Kriegel reached the 10 year mark of his tour around the world, "The Timeless Ride".
A classic story, Kriegel set out from New York in 2005, with one simple goal, to explore the world. His sidecar expedition has taken him to Japan, Vietnam,
Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Estonia, Russia, Kasakhstan, Italy, Germany, Switzerland,
Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Egypt, Sudan, and
Ethiopia, to name a few. Hubert has been wearing his signature round, red Selima Optique frames across jungles and deserts in the most remote parts of the world.
His most recent photograph details passage on the hillsides of Lesotho on February 13th, 2014.
A truly admirable story and captivating achievement to realize his dream of seeing the world, Hubert will always be an inspiration to us.
The timeless, well-traveled look of his namesake Hubert frames are available at our stores in New York and Paris, stockists worldwide, or online.

Saluting the Ultimate Adventurers
The saying 'the end result is rarely more important than the road travelled to get there' couldn't ring more true for our friend and adventurer Hubert Kriegel, who also happens to be the inspiration behind our classic Hubert frames.
And as Friday marked the anniversary of Amelia Earhart becoming the first woman to fly non-stop across the United States, we think of Hubert on his own 'Timeless Ride' as he documents his blazing travels around the world at TheTimelessRide.com.
Follow his fantastic voyage around the world in a side car motorcycle as he explores locales with conditions from the extreme to the serene and spot him in his Hubert glasses with gorgeous photos to illustrate his epic journeys.
