Take a cue from Jean-Charles de Castelbajac (above & below) and Lynx Optique (bottom) and consider fashioning yourself a pair of frames composed of colorful blocks of Lego's for the ultimate in playful, statement making (however unfortunately vision obscuring) eyewear this season.

Our friends at TrendOptic ran another lovely feature on Selima Optique this week with Henrika and friend in our Maricruz & Hubert frames, which by the way look great! They were also kind enough to declare that we are "the best-kept secret of the hip, the smart and, of course, the savvy."

Although it happened months ago, the Selima Optique crew was proud to see a pair of our frames and two others purchased at our stores take part in Christie's landmark online auction of select pieces from the estate of legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor.
Considered "the greatest collection of fashion" by Marc Porter, Chairman of Christie's America, the auction is considered to have been one of the most highly anticipated sales in history with a 100% sell through and marks

the most valuable collection of fashion ever offered as well as Christie's first online-only auction.
Known for an eagle's eye for all things ultra-luxe and well-crafted, Taylor's sartorial bravado signaled different periods of her life while inadvertently encapsulating the times through her remarkable personae. Fashions may come & go, and true, Taylor had many a remarkable shift herself, yet there's no denying that through the years, she undeniably amassed a collection that speaks endless volumes on the power & charisma of such an emblematic actress.

Earlier this week Google announced an intensive foray into melding internet based technologies with eyewear for a look at the world like we've never seen. Are you ready for instant messages, updates and newsfeeds right before your eyes? Some of us here aren't so sure we are...
And while the video above demonstrates the project with uncomplicated ease, the company is ready for your thoughts on what this means for you and what suggestions you may have in mind. In a Google+ post, members of Google stressed this as more of an experiment while also stating that "we think technology should work for you, be there when you need it and get out of your way when you don't, we're sharing this information now because we want to start a conversation and learn from your valuable input."
