Selima Optique Pops-Up at Le Bon Marche Summer 2013

As we mentioned earlier this week, we are proud to report that we will be holding court over the next month at Le Bon Marche, Paris' storied department store. At over 160 years old, Le Bon Marche was one of the first department stores in the world and rings in as France's largest at 7,300 sq. ft, taking up an entire city block housing luxury fashion, accessories, beauty goods and home furnishings.

At our space at Le Bon Marche you'll find some of our best-selling sunglasses along with freshly released styles to start this summer off with an enhanced look that evokes the essence of luxury with timeless, considered design.

Celebrating Selima Optique 2013 & Vision Expo at Le Bain

To fete Vision Expo East, our 2013 collection & collaboration with multi-media artist Stefania Pia, we welcomed guests at The Standard Hotel's Le Bain club on March 16th. Patrons from the optical, art & fashion worlds made for a fun mix and we'd like to thank everyone who attended for making it a roaring good time.

Special thanks to T.V Baby's Matt McAuley for providing tunes & to the team at Le Bain for their gracious hospitality.

Initiative of Art & Culture's Fashion Conference: 'One of a Kind'

Earlier this month our very own Selima Salaun was honored to represent the luxury eyewear industry at the Initiative of Art & Culture's 14th annual fashion conference entitled "One of a Kind," which focused on celebrating the extraordinary individuality, integrity, and innovation in fashion.

Selima was a key speaker at the Main Event: "A discussion on Accessories" panel and was in the company of Maria Cornejo, Erin Beatty, Mary McFadden, Nicole Phelps, Robert Lees Morris, Valerie Steele and Tracey Reese, among others. She spoke on the history of our company, what drives her and why the idea of something truly "one of a kind" will always have an unbeatable resonance in the marketplace.

Among the discussion was the goal of addressing "what makes something one of a kind" while looking back at fashion history and considering the contributions of iconic individuals playing critical roles in defining modern fashion.

Following the event conference attendees were treated to receptions at both Robert Lee Morris and Selima Optique Soho where the inspirational topics of the day had revelers in a festive mood.
